Lbs1 Hardship Exemption — Employee and estate not liable for reimbursed tuition if death occurs or if unable to complete commitment due to documented medical condition beyond employee's control (employee, spouse, dependent children/step-children)
In the event the Employee dies or cannot complete the 3-year commitment due to a physical or mental condition beyond the Employee's control, the Employee and their estate shall not be held liable for the tuition that was paid/reimbursed by BASSC.

Lbs1 Liability Conditions — Employee liable for reimbursed tuition if they fail, drop out, or resign before 3-year commitment; not liable if terminated through RIF, non-renewal, mutual agreement, or if not employed as LBS1 teacher post-completion

Sick Days Annual — 14 sick days per year; 16 days for members with 18-25 years of service; 20 days for 26+ years
Each staff member shall be annually entitled to fourteen (14) days of sick leave each year without loss of pay. Commencing with the 2017-2018 contract year, members with 18-25 years of service shall be entitled to 16 sick days per year. Members with 26+ years of service shall be entitled to 20 days of sick leave per year.
