Any teacher or education support professional who is a member or has applied for membership in the Association may sign and deliver to the School Board an authorization for continuous payroll deduction.

Pursuant to such authorization, the School Board shall deduct one-tenth of such dues from the regular monthly salary check of each bargaining unit member each month for ten (10) months, beginning in September and ending in June of each year.

Lpdc Chairperson Compensation — LPDC chairperson receives $1,000 per year compensation
The LPDC chairpersons shall be paid $1,000.00 per year. The maximum amount paid under this stipend will not exceed $1,300 per year for the chairperson and the LPDC teacher.

Lpdc Teacher Compensation — LPDC teacher receives $300 per year compensation
Any required work done by the LPDC teacher shall receive compensation in the amount of $300.00 per year. The LPDC chairpersons shall be paid $1,000.00 per year. The maximum amount paid under this stipend will not exceed $1,300 per year for the chairperson and the LPDC teacher.

Off Schedule Bonus Yr1 — Extra-curricular/stipend earnings may be paid: 1) throughout year on 12-month payroll, 2) in one check after completion, or 3) split with half in December and remainder after completion
At the beginning of the school year, the employee will determine the method of payment for extra-curricular and stipend earnings. These earnings may be paid 1) throughout the year on the 12-month payroll; 2) included in one payroll check after the activity/work has been completed; or 3) included in two payroll checks with half (½) of the pay in December.

A retirement incentive will be offered to full-time certified employees of Hardin County School District with a minimum of 10 years' experience in the District. To qualify, an employee must be eligible to retire with TRS under an option that causes no penalties to the district.

Rif Layoff By Date Of Hire — Layoffs based on date of hire within Job Category; employees with multiple Job Categories maintain seniority in each category by date of hire.
In the event of a reduction in the number of employees within a Job Category, layoffs will be based on date of hire within the Job Category in which the employee occupied at the time of layoff.

Severe Weather 12 Month Employees — 12-month employees expected to report to work in emergencies; may use vacation if unable to report
Twelve (12) month employees are expected to report to work in the event of any emergency shutdown. If the employee is unable to report for work due to emergency, crisis, weather, or acts of God, she/he shall have the option of substituting vacation days to avoid loss of pay, time or benefits.

Less than twelve (12) month, partial year employees – i.e. nine (9) and ten (10) month employees, who are not expected to report for work on student non-attendance days or as indicated on their work classification's calendar shall not lose pay or benefits when buildings are shut down for an emergency, crisis, weather, or acts of God provided that the school calendar is amended to restore the lost day(s).
