A total of one (1) Association Day may be used to attend a regional, state or national meeting of the Association. The representative who takes this leave will have the option of using one of his/her personal leave days or working an extra day that is otherwise not a scheduled work day.

Base Salary Increase Yr1 — Additional amount of $3,000 for 2021-2022 contract year
For bargaining unit members employed during the 2021-2022 contract year, an additional amount of $3,000 shall be added to their 2021-2022 salary. That number shall be used as their base salary.

Base Salary Increase Yr2 — 3% increase for 2022-2023 contract year
In the 2022-2023, 2023-2024, 2024-2025, and 2025-2026 school years, each bargaining unit member's base salary shall be increased by 3%.

Bereavement Days — Association/professional development leave of 1 day for regional, state or national meeting

Contract Days Teacher — School Year Employees (Paraprofessionals): minimum one hundred eighty (180) days
The work year shall follow the school calendar, but in no case shall it be fewer than one hundred eighty (180) days.

Contract Duration — Agreement continues in full force and effect from July 1st 2021 through June 30th 2026.
This agreement shall continue in full force and effect from July 1st 2021 through June 30th 2026. Either party may notify the other in writing no less than sixty (60) days prior to the expiration date.
Compensation
Degree Completion Wage Increase — One dollar per hour increase to current hourly wage upon completion of Bachelor's degree or additional certification
Upon completion of pre-approved courses which result in the obtaining of a Bachelor's degree or additional certification according to the procedures above, the employee shall be given an increase of one dollar ($1) per hour to their current hourly wage.

Fmla Eligibility — Full-time employees employed for 12 months eligible for unpaid FMLA leave
Full-time employees who have been employed by LCSSU for 12 months shall be eligible for an unpaid Family Medical Leave Act (FMLA) leave.

Fmla Max Weeks — FMLA leave granted for up to twelve weeks in rolling 12-month period
A FMLA leave is granted to an eligible employee who qualifies for such leave for up to twelve (12) weeks in a rolling 12-month period.

Health Single Premium — Board contributes $7000 annually for health insurance
The Board shall provide each full-time employee, a health insurance contribution of $7000 annually for the duration of this contract.
Workday
Instructional Minutes Day — 7.5 hours per day
Bargaining unit members will not be required to work more than seven and one-half (7.5) hours per day, with bargaining unit members' office (or teaching) hours from 8:00 a.m. - 3:30 p.m. or the assigned buildings start time, with a half-hour duty-free lunch

Lane Advancement Allowed — $1100 increase for approved graduate coursework completion
If a bargaining unit member completes approved coursework as outlined in 6.3 and increase of $1100.00 shall be included in their base salary prior to the addition of the percentage increase.

Management Rights — Board retains inherent managerial rights: functions, standards of service, budget, selection of employees, direction of staff
The Board shall not be required to bargain over inherent managerial policy which shall include the following areas of discretion or policy: The functions of the Board, Standards of Service, The Board's overall budget, Selection of new employees, Direction of all employees.

No Strike — No strike clause in effect
During the term of this agreement, employees shall not participate in a strike in whole or in part. Strike means an employee's refusal in concerted action with others to report for duty, or willful absence from position.

Off Schedule Bonus Yr1 — Substitution compensation: additional $20 for a half day (three hours or less)
Employees who are assigned to substitute for a different position that requires a substitute teaching license shall be compensated an additional $20 for a half day (three hours or less)

Personal Days Annual — Two personal leave days per year; accumulate as sick leave if unused
Each staff members shall be allowed up to two (2) personal leave days per year which, if not used within the school year granted, shall accumulate as sick leave days.

Retirement Incentive Pct — Six percent retirement incentive for bargaining unit members with 10+ years service, 20 years IMRF contribution, age 55+
Any bargaining unit member of Livingston County Special Services Unit (LCSSU) who has completed ten (10) years or more of creditable service with the cooperative, who has contributed to Illinois Municipal Retirement Fund (IMRF) for twenty (20) years, who is at least fifty-five (55) years of age by the time of retirement shall be eligible for retirement incentive.

Retirement Pickup Pct — Service recognition payment available upon retirement with 3-year notice
Employee receives increase in salary from up to the previous three (3) contract years based on the number of year(s) notice of retirement given. This payment shall not be reported as creditable earnings to TRS.

An employee who is eligible to receive disability benefits under the Illinois Workers' Compensation Act or who is eligible to receive disability benefits with the Illinois Municipal Retirement Fund shall not be eligible to receive compensation through the Sick Leave Bank.

Retroactivity — Terms settled after effective date shall be applied retroactively and paid within sixty (60) calendar days after ratification by both parties.
Should the terms of this agreement be settled after the effective date of the agreement, all terms, including any pay increases, shall be applied retroactively and shall be paid in a manner that is agreeable to both parties, but no later than sixty (60) calendar days after the ratification of the agreement by both parties.

Rif Procedures — Pre-RIF procedures include discussion of nature, reasons, seniority list review, and impact
When the Board determines the need for a possible reduction in force (RIF), the administration shall meet with the Association prior to the proposed RIF to discuss the nature of the RIF; The reasons for the RIF; A review of the seniority list; and The impact of the RIF.

Rif Recall Years — Employees on layoff shall retain their rights to recall for twelve (12) months from the beginning of the school term following the year they were laid off.

Service Recognition Payment Pct — Service recognition payment equal to twenty percent of final creditable earnings paid 90 days after final paycheck
The employee shall receive a service recognition payment due and payable ninety (90) days after receipt of his or her final regular paycheck or last day of work. This payment shall be equal to twenty percent (20%) of the employee's final creditable earnings.

The Sick Leave Bank is a voluntary bank of employee sick leave days administered by a committee, which shall be used only by participating employees or dependent children for serious, long-term or debilitating illnesses.

Sick Leave Max Days — Maximum total of sixty (60) days that any contribution member may draw from Sick Leave Bank during lifetime employment
The maximum number of days that any contribution member may draw from the bank is a total of sixty (60) days during that employee's lifetime employment with the organization.

Step Increase — Overtime compensation at one and one-half (1.5) times regular rate of pay
An Employee who works overtime as defined by this paragraph, shall be compensated at the rate of one and one-half (1.5) times their regular rate of pay.

Tuition Reimbursement Pct — 100% reimbursement of tuition costs for approved courses, up to 12 per contract year at 20% per year over five years
Reimbursement will be 100% of the tuition costs of the approved courses, up to twelve (12) per contract year at a rate of 20% per year over five years.

Unpaid Leave Max Duration — Unpaid leaves may be granted for up to one year in length with Board approval
Employees may choose to take a longer unpaid leave not to exceed one (1) year in length, with approval of the Board.

Unpaid Leave Notice Requirement — Written request for unpaid leave must be made at least three months before desired leave
Written requests for leaves of absence without pay should be made at least three (3) months before the leave is desired, subject to approval by the Board.
