Accumulated Sick Leave Conversion — At conclusion of school year, Teachers with six accumulated personal leave days shall have four unused personal leave days converted to accumulated sick leave
At the conclusion of the school year, Teachers who have accumulated six (6) personal leave days shall have four (4) unused personal leave days converted to accumulated sick leave.

Administrator Academy Reimbursement — Board will reimburse Eighty-Five Dollars once every five years for Administrator Academy attendance
The Board will reimburse to a Teacher Eighty-Five and 00/100 Dollars ($85.00) once every five (5) years if he or she attends an Administrator Academy that is required for retention of professional educator license.

Adoption Leave Days — Adoption leave of up to 25 school attendance days without pay
In the event of adoption, a Teacher will be granted, upon request, a leave of absence without pay not to exceed twenty-five (25) school attendance days.

This Agreement is negotiated pursuant to the Illinois Educational Labor Relations Act, to establish the terms and conditions of employment for the members of the bargaining unit defined herein.

Arbitration Binding — Binding arbitration through American Arbitration Association
may submit the grievance to final and binding arbitration through The American Arbitration Association. Fees equally borne by Board and Association.

Arrival Departure Clearance — Teachers arriving late or leaving early should clear with building principal prior to occurrence
If Teachers need to arrive late or leave early on occasion, it should be cleared with the building principal prior to the occurrence.

Assignment Notification — Teachers notified in writing of changes in teaching assignment at least 20 days prior to next teaching year, unless mutually agreed
Except in case of emergency, all Teachers will be notified in writing of changes in teaching assignment at least twenty (20) days prior to the next teaching year, unless mutually agreed upon by the Teacher and the administration.

Attendance Incentive — Teachers in attendance for entirety of school hours and days each quarter receive additional stipend of One Hundred Dollars
Teachers not utilizing the retirement incentive in section 8.24 who are in attendance for the entirety of the school hours and days during each quarter shall receive an additional stipend of One Hundred and 00/100 Dollars ($100.00).

recognizes the Hoopeston Education Association (HEA), an affiliate of the Illinois Education Association (IEA) and the National Education Association (NEA), hereinafter referred to as the Association, as sole and exclusive negotiating agent for all regularly employed professional educator licensed (Teachers) and educational support personnel

Base Salary Increase Yr1 — Professional development reimbursement up to $125.00 per semester hour for job-related graduate course work
ESP's will be reimbursed for the per hour cost of the course, not to exceed One Hundred Twenty-Five and 00/100 Dollars ($125.00) per semester hour for job-related graduate course work or course work to achieve professional educator licensure.

The Teacher directly involved is expected to handle his/her own classroom discipline; building principals will be reasonably available to advise and assist if it becomes necessary. The purpose of student discipline shall be to maintain an appropriate and/or effective learning environment and improve student behavior.

Dental Coverage — Covered under health insurance benefit for ESPs regularly working more than 4 hours per day

In the event of an emergency situation, the Association shall be notified, and the Teachers shall be allowed to resign with no penalty if such change is not acceptable to him/her.

Esp Involuntary Transfer Stipend — $500 stipend
When a paraprofessional ESP or custodian ESP is permanently involuntarily transferred to a new building, such employee shall be entitled to a five hundred dollar ($500) stipend to be paid within thirty (30) days of the conclusion of the first complete semester of assignment.

Esp Lunchtime Detention Supervision — $25 per lunchtime detention supervised
Lunchtime detention supervisors will be on a voluntary basis and individuals will be compensated twenty-five ($25) dollars for each lunchtime detention supervised during the individual's regular duty free lunch.
