Academic Freedom — Academic freedom granted regarding study, investigation, presentation of facts and ideas within curriculum goals and professional expertise
Academic freedom shall be guaranteed to teachers with respect to the study, investigation, presentation, and interpretation of facts and ideas concerning man, human society, the physical and biological world, and other branches of learning insofar as these subjects are relevant to the subject matter under study, meet State and District curriculum goals, and are within the teacher's area of professional expertise.

Base Salary Increase Yr1 — Paraprofessionals assigned teaching position receive $12.00 per hour wage premium
For the term of the substitute teaching assignment, the paraprofessional will make his/her hourly rate of pay, plus the additional $12.00 per hour wage premium per the paraprofessional negotiated agreement.
