Ba Min Salary — BA minimum starting base salary for 2022-23
Starting base salary for teachers newly hired for the 2022-23 school year shall be: BA $43,000

Base Salary Increase Yr1 — Minimum 2.5% increase to base salary for 2023-24 and 2024-25 (CPI floor protection)
The BOE is also providing a ceiling of 4.5% if the CPI is over this amount. The BOE will provide protection for a very low CPI by guaranteeing the minimum raise of a 2.5% increase

Bereavement Days — Up to three (3) days for each death in the immediate family or household
In addition to the aforementioned sick leave days, each full-time Teacher shall be entitled to up to three (3) days for each death in the immediate family or household.

Contract Days Teacher — The school calendar shall consist of 185 days
The school calendar shall consist of 185 days. Unused emergency days remaining shall not become work days.

Employee Premium Share Pct — Board pays 90% of cost for HMO plan; teacher pays 10% or $500 per year, whichever is less
Board of Education will pay 90% of the cost, and the teacher will pay 10% of the cost or $500 per year, whichever is less.

Philosophy: The parties agree that the primary objective of the teacher evaluation process is to improve the quality of the instructional program in order to facilitate student learning.

Grievance Steps — Informal conference, Step I (principal), Step II (superintendent), Step III (Board), Step IV (arbitration)
Procedure: Informal Conference, Step I within 10 days, Step II within 7 days, Step III within 7 days, Step IV arbitration within 20 days of Board decision.

The Board shall pay full individual hospitalization for each teacher. In addition to this, each teacher will receive a prescription card.

The standard workday shall consist of an 8:00 a.m. start and a 3:20 p.m. dismissal.

Lane Advancement Allowed — Returning teachers have lane adjustment added upon achieving next benchmark for lane movement
Returning teachers shall have their 2021-22 salary used as the basis for their 2022-23 salary. They shall have a lane adjustment added to their base salary upon achieving the next benchmark for lane movement.

Off Schedule Bonus Yr1 — Post-retirement severance payment for Option A retirees
Provided the teacher's creditable earnings do not subject the District to a penalty from TRS, the teacher shall also receive a post-retirement severance payment equal to $25,000.

Provided the teacher's creditable earnings do not subject the District to a penalty from TRS, the teacher shall also receive a post-retirement severance payment equal to $25,000.

A minimum of ten (10) years' experience in Komarek District 94 is required to qualify for the benefit.

Sick Days Annual — Full-time teachers 1-4 years of service: 12 days; 5-15 years: 13 days; 16+ years: 14 days
Full-time teachers shall be entitled to the following sick leave days annually with full pay as specified: 1-4 years of service to the district- 12 days, 5-15 years of service to the district- 13 days, 16 or more years of service to the district- 14 days.
