This Agreement shall be effective July 1, 2025, and shall continue in effect until June 30, 2030.

Arbitration Binding — Final and binding arbitration available
The decision of the arbitrator shall be final and binding on the parties and the arbitrator shall be requested to issue his/her decision within thirty (30) calendar days after the receipt of final statements and proof.

Assault On Employees — Assault immediately reported to Board; Board advises employee of rights and renders assistance in handling incident by law enforcement
Any case of assault upon an employee while in the pursuit of his/her employment shall be immediately reported to the Board or its designee. The Board shall promptly advise the employee of his/her rights and obligations with respect to such assault and shall render all reasonable assistance to the employee in handling the incident by law enforcement authorities.

When any employee is required to appear before his/her Building Principal/Director of Student Services, the Superintendent, the Board of Education or Board of Education Committee concerning any matter which is disciplinary in nature, the employee shall be given reasonable prior written notice of the reasons for such meeting and shall be entitled to have a representative of the Association present to advise him/her and represent him/her during such meeting or interview.

In addition to the salary schedule amount, the Board agrees to pay to THIS, on behalf of each teacher, one-half (1/2) of 1% toward the cost of health insurance benefits.

Evaluation Conference Required — Conference required between evaluator and employee to discuss evaluation; employee may request supervising teacher present
A conference shall be held between the evaluator(s) and the employee to discuss the evaluation report. Employees may request the presence of the supervising teacher at the conference, subject to approval of the participants.

Evaluation Cycle Years — Evaluated annually during first three years, then at least once every other year
Employees shall be evaluated annually during the first three (3) years of employment and at least once every other year thereafter in accordance with the provisions of this Article.

Grievance Steps — Three-step grievance procedure: Step A (supervisor), Step B (Superintendent), Step C (binding arbitration)
Within thirty (30) days of the occurrence, the grievant may present the grievance in writing through the Association representative to the immediately involved supervisor. If not resolved at step A, the grievant may refer the grievance to the Superintendent within five (5) days. If decision at step B is not satisfactory, the grievant may submit request for final and binding arbitration.
