Grievance
Arbitration Binding — Binding arbitration available at Step C through Illinois Education Labor Relations Board
If the Federation is not satisfied with the disposition of the grievance at Step B or the time limits expire without a response from the Board, the Federation may submit the grievance to the Illinois Education Labor Relations Board for a binding resolution under the Voluntary Labor Arbitration Rules of American Arbitration Association.

Bereavement Days — Each employee is granted two bereavement days for immediate family members
Each employee is granted two bereavement days for immediate family members. Immediate family is considered parents, spouse, or children.
Workday
Contract Days Teacher — 40 hours normal workweek
For purposes of overtime, the normal workweek shall be forty (40) hours. Any overtime requires the approval of the Superintendent.

Employee Premium Share Pct — Board agrees to pay insurance premiums for full-time employees meeting 160 days per year minimum and Board approved work hours per week for a minimum of 160 days a year
In order to qualify for Board paid insurance benefits, the employee must meet Board approved and Carrier approved work hours per week for a minimum of 160 days a year.

Grievance Steps — Three-step grievance procedure: Step A (Superintendent/Principal), Step B (Board), Step C (Arbitration)
STEP A. grievance must be filed within seven (7) days. STEP B. refer to Board within seven (7) days after Step A answer. STEP C. submit to Illinois Education Labor Relations Board for binding resolution under Voluntary Labor Arbitration Rules.

Health Single Premium — $20,000 life insurance for each employee meeting work hour requirements
The Board agrees to pay in full the premium for a $20,000 life insurance for each employee who meets Board approved and Carrier approved work hours per week for a minimum of 160 days a year.

Lane Advancement Allowed — Movement across columns allowed with earned academic credit from NCATE-accredited or administratively approved university
Advancement on the pay scale should include a university (including on-line) be accredited by the National Council for the Accreditation of Teacher Education (NCATE) or with administrative approval

Off Schedule Bonus Yr1 — Each support staff employee allocated $150 per year for continuing education/professional development
Each support staff employee will be allocated $150 per year for continuing education/professional development for attendance at a workshop or other professional development activity.

Three (3) days personal leave per year shall be granted to each full-time employee. Employees scheduled to work 260 days shall be granted an additional personal leave day.

Retirement Pickup Pct — 6 percent salary increase for final 1-3 years of employment under Early Retirement Incentive
If the resignation is received on or before the June 30th which is 36 months prior to retirement, the teacher's TRS Creditable Salary for the last three years of employment shall increase by 6 percent per year.

The Board will recognize the service of support personnel who have rendered at least ten (10) continuous years of creditable service to the District immediately preceding retirement, and who are eligible to receive regular retirement pension benefits through Illinois Municipal Retirement Fund (IMRF).

In all cases of bumping or reduction of staff (honorable dismissals) the District will strictly abide by the procedures required by law at 105 ILCS 5/24-12b

Rif Recall Years — Probationary employees laid off first; non-probationary laid off by seniority in reverse order
If Board decreases positions by layoff, probationary employees will be laid off first. If necessary to reduce non-probationary employees in any job classification, then non-probationary employees will be laid off on basis of seniority within the classification. Recall shall be in reverse order of layoff.

Each teacher shall be granted thirteen (13) days sick leave per year to be used for personal illness, serious illness or death in the immediate family

If a qualified teacher reaches the end of their salary column, that teacher shall receive a two percent increase from the previous year.
Retirement
Trs Tier — Tier 1: TRS eligibility with 10+ years consecutive service and retirement pension eligibility
Teachers with ten or more years of consecutive service in the district are eligible to receive additional benefits under the terms of this Early Retirement Incentive (ERI). A teacher may receive this ERI if he or she retires at the end of the school year.
