Ba Min Salary — Retired teachers placed on salary schedule at Step 1 of appropriate education lane
These individuals will be placed on the teachers' salary schedule at Step 1 of their appropriate education lane. Salary for these individuals will be paid on a prorated basis per day, or per hour according to Step 1.

Base Salary Increase Yr1 — 5% increase to coach base salary for first ten years of experience
Salaries will be increased by adding 5% to the coach's base salary for each year's experience for the first ten (10) years. For each year after ten (10), 2% of the base will be added to the salary of the coach in that position for the previous year.

An employee may also be granted one work day due to the death of a relative outside the immediate family or household. This would include aunt, uncle, niece, nephew, brother-in-law, sister-in-law, daughter-in-law, son-in-law, and cousin (within the first degree).

Building Leadership Team — Building leadership team created with representation from primary, intermediate, junior high, and high school
A building leadership team will be created with representation from the primary, intermediate, junior high, and high school. The team will meet with their representative administrator prior to the monthly faculty meetings.

Class Sponsorship Rotation — All full time faculty members who teach at least 3 class periods per semester in the high school are in rotation for class sponsorship

Contract Days Teacher — 7:50 A.M. until 3:40 P.M.
The employee workday for all employees shall be from 7:50 A.M. until 3:40 P.M. Teachers who volunteer for morning duty shall report at 7:35 A.M. and be allowed to leave at 3:25 P.M.

Dental Coverage — Dental coverage available; $60/month cap for vision, dental, and life insurance
A $60 a month cap will be in place for vision, dental, and life insurance.

Discipline Record Purge — Discipline will not be shared with other employers after 3 years; completely purged after 4 years
Disciplinary records will be purged from a file after 3 years. After 4 years, discipline will not be shared with other employers.

For purposes of this Agreement "seniority" shall be defined as the length of a bargaining unit member's continuous service with the district. Said service shall be computed from the first day of current uninterrupted employment within the district.

The Board will contribute 80% per month for each employee to pay towards Health Insurance, Life Insurance, and Health Reimbursement Account.

Facility Use — Association may use school facilities for meetings when approved by administrator, when school not in session, provided no interference with instructional programs
The Association shall have the right to use the school buildings for meetings for employees not on duty at a time when school is not in session provided that such meetings do not interfere with instructional and/or extra-curricular programs.

Faculty Lounge Provision — Each building shall provide a Faculty Lounge
Each building shall provide a Faculty Lounge. The purpose of the faculty lounge is to provide the district staff with a private common area to eat meals, plan, and prepare instruction.

STEP 1, STEP 2, STEP 3, STEP 4, Step 5: If the association is not satisfied with the disposition of the grievance at Step 4 or thirty (30) days expire without the issuance of the Board's written reply, the association may submit the grievance to binding arbitration.

Health Single Premium — Board pays 80% of monthly health insurance premium
The Board agrees to pay 80% per month for health insurance.

Hsa Employer Contribution — District contributes $550 per month for non-participating Certified employee into Health Reimbursement Account
For Certified Staff who choose not to participate in the Board provided health insurance plan, the District will contribute $550 per month for each non-participating Certified employee into the Health Reimbursement Account.

Instructional Minutes Day — Preparation time provided for professional preparation and consultation
The District # 5 Board of Education feels strongly that the preparation time provided to Employees is for professional preparation and consultation with parents and students.

Lockouts Prohibited — No lockouts permitted during term or while successor agreement being negotiated
The Board agrees that it will not lock out any bargaining unit member during the term of this Agreement or during any period during which a successor Agreement is being negotiated by the parties.

Mandatory Monthly Meeting — One hour per month after school for mandatory meeting for all Certified Staff
Administration may utilize one hour per month, after school, for a mandatory meeting for all Certified Staff unless excused by Administration. This meeting will begin at 3:15 pm and end no later than 4:15 pm.

Mentoring Program Compensation — Mentors receive up to 45 CPDUs per year; committee chair receives CPDU compensation plus 1 CPDU per meeting

Mileage Reimbursement — IRS established rate
If an employee is required by administration to use his/her personal automobile for approved school district purposes, the teacher shall be reimbursed at the rate established by the IRS.

Off Schedule Bonus Yr1 — $500 stipend for National Board Certification for four consecutive years
The Board of Education agrees to pay a stipend of $500 for four (4) consecutive years to any teacher who receives National Board Certification, provided the stipend does not cause an employee to exceed a 6% salary increase their last 4 years.

Overtime Compensation — Non-certified employees paid overtime at full contracted rate for work performed as assigned to school approved activities; employees not required to accept compensated time
The district will pay all non-certified employees overtime compensation at the full contracted rate of pay for work performed as assigned to school approved activities. Employees shall not be required to accept compensated time as payment for working overtime or for accepting extra duty.

Payroll Deduction Association Dues — Upon written request on Authorization Form, Board shall deduct dues, payments, or contributions payable to the Association. Authorization remains in effect year to year except may be revoked between September 1-15.
Upon the written request of an employee on an Authorization Form furnished by the Association, the Board shall deduct from the compensation of that employee the current dues, payments, or contributions payable by that employee to the Association.

The District will ensure that all teachers providing e-learning and/or remote teaching have access to all hardware and software that may be required by the district for the e-learning and/or remote learning program.

Retirement Pickup Pct — Board deducts and contributes Employee 9.0% TRS retirement contribution
The Board will deduct and contribute the Employee 9.0% TRS retirement contribution from the employee's TRS creditable earnings.

The following benefits should be applicable to specific employees retiring under the normal rules and regulations of the Illinois Teachers' Retirement System (not 'ERO').

Rif Recall Years — Honorable dismissal list (RIF list) provided 75 calendar days before end of school year; teachers in groups 1-2 have no recall rights; groups 3-4 have recall rights in reverse order of layoff
The Association shall be provided the sequence of honorable dismissal list by groupings (1-4) seventy-five (75) calendar days prior to the end of the school year. Teachers in groups one and two shall have no recall rights. Those teachers in groups three and four, shall have right of recall for any available position in reverse order of the layoffs.

At the beginning of each school year (or at the time of hire for those hired later in the year), the District shall provide each employee a salary verification sheet. The verification sheet shall set forth the employee's step and lane placement on the schedule

School Improvement Days will be scheduled following all legal requirements as set forth in the Illinois School Code. Teachers will participate in the scheduling of said SIP days through the Calendar Committee.

Seniority List Notification — Teachers must notify Superintendent and Association president of corrections to seniority list within 30 days of February 1st
If a teacher believes she/he is listed incorrectly on the seniority list, they shall contact the Superintendent and Association president with the corrections within thirty calendar days of February 1st.

Sick Leave Max Days — Unused sick leave accumulates up to 200 days maximum
If any employee does not use the full amount of annual leave thus allowed, the unused amount shall be allowed to accumulate up to 200 days.

Status Of Employment — After 90 consecutive workdays, employee becomes permanent; break in service resets this period
Any bargaining unit member who has been employed by the district as permanent, sub and/or part time for at least ninety (90) consecutive workdays shall be deemed to be a permanent employee.

Step Increase — Teacher reimbursed $200 per credit hour for tuition reimbursement (max 15 hours/year, max $3000/year)
The teacher will be reimbursed $200 per credit hour unless the total tuition cost is less than $600. Then, the total amount of tuition will be reimbursed. The District will be responsible for a maximum of 15 credit hours earned per contract year, per teacher.
