Base Salary Increase Yr1 — 4.5% increase over previous year
During the first year of the contract, the Board will increase each certified staff member's salary by 4.5% over the previous year.

Leave for bereavement, not to exceed two (2) days per year, shall be granted in the event of death of a relative or close family friend.

Contract Days Teacher — No more than 180 employee responsibility days plus five emergency days
The school calendar shall consist of no more than 180 employee responsibility days, plus five emergency days.

Early Retirement Option 1 — 6% added to final three years salaries for employee resigning three years in advance
An employee who submits an irrevocable letter of resignation by May 1 three (3) full years prior shall have six percent (6%) added to each of his/her final three (3) years salaries.

Lane Advancement Allowed — true
Teachers shall be granted credit for professional growth through graduate courses approved by the district. Teachers must file the Lane Change form provided by the district to the business office no later than August 1.

Each employee shall be granted three (3) paid personal days per year which shall not accumulate from year to year.

The district agrees to provide at least a 30-minute prep period per full student attendance day per teacher.

Retirement System — TRS
Certified employees participating in the Teacher's Retirement System of Illinois (TRS) are eligible to receive additional compensation when they retire from District #102.

Rif Recall Years — Recall rights as outlined in Section 5/24-12 of Illinois School Code (2 years standard)
A teacher in Sequence of Dismissal Groups 2, 3 or 4 whose employment has been terminated due to a reduction in force shall have recall rights as outlined in Section 5/24-12 of the School Code.

Sick Days Annual — Accumulation schedule: 12 days for 0-2 years, up to 25 days for 30+ years prior to June 30, 2024
0-2 years experience 12 days. Notwithstanding the above, teachers with 30 or more years of experience prior to June 30, 2024 shall receive 25 sick leave days annually.

Sick Leave Max Days — Maximum accumulation of 355 days
Each full-time teacher shall receive sick leave accumulated in the following manner up to a maximum of 355 days.
Workday
Workday Hours — No longer than 7 hours 45 minutes
The work day for certified teachers shall be no longer than seven and three quarters (7¾) hours.
