Arbitration Binding — Binding arbitration available at Step 3
If the Association is not satisfied with the disposition of the grievance at Step 2, the Association may submit the grievance to binding arbitration.
Compensation
Ba Min Salary — BA minimum salary (Lane BA, Step 1) for 2023-24
Salary schedules for 2023-24, 2024-25, 2025-26, 2026-27, and 2027-28 shall be as set forth in Appendices A-1, A-2, A-3, A-4, and A-5
Leave
Bereavement Days — Up to 5 bereavement days per school year
Each full-time active teacher shall be granted up to five (5) days per school year for bereavement without loss of pay or deduction of sick leave days.
Workday
Contract Days Teacher — Work year of 183 days; calendar not to exceed 188 days including 183 work days
The Board shall establish a calendar not to exceed 188 days, which shall include no more than 183 work days. Any teacher whose annual salary must be prorated for reasons of unpaid leave of absence, discipline or resignation shall have said proration computed upon a 183-day work year.
Insurance
Dental Coverage — Dental coverage available; employees may elect to participate
Premiums for single or dependent coverage for medical, dental, disability, and/or other qualified insurances, to the extent such premiums are not paid by the Board.

Employee Premium Share Pct — Employees contribute 10% of individual PPO/HMO premium; family coverage varies by year: 44% (2023-24), 43% (2024-25), 42% (2025-26), 41% (2026-27), 40% (2027-28)

Evaluation
Evaluation Cycle Years — 3-year evaluation cycle consistent with PERA (Illinois Performance Evaluation Reform Act)
A teacher who does not receive a summative evaluation at the end of year three (3) of the evaluation cycle prior to going on any leave shall continue the evaluation cycle at the point at which the leave started.
Grievance
Grievance Steps — 3-step grievance procedure: informal, Step 1 (supervisor), Step 2 (Superintendent), Step 3 (arbitration)
Step 1: The grievant and the Association may present the grievance in writing to the immediately involved supervisor. Step 2: appeal to the Superintendent. Step 3: binding arbitration through AAA.
Insurance
Life Insurance Amount — $50,000 term life insurance provided to full-time teachers
The Board shall provide each full-time teacher with $50,000 term life insurance according to the eligibility requirements established by the insurance carrier.
Leave
Personal Days Annual — 3 personal leave days per year; may borrow 1 day once every 3 years for total of 4 days
Each teacher shall be entitled to three (3) days of personal leave without loss of pay for matters, including for medical purposes, which cannot be handled during non-school days or hours.
Compensation
Professional Development Annual — Annual professional development and tuition reimbursement budget of $65,000; unused funds may accumulate
For each year during the term of this Agreement, the Board agrees to provide $65,000 for teachers to use for professional development and tuition reimbursement purposes.
Compensation
Retirement Service Reward — $750 per full year of employment beyond 15 years, maximum $9,000 (12 years)
eligible teachers shall receive a retirement service reward in an amount equal to $750 times each full year of employment in District 30 beyond 15 years, up to a maximum reward of $9,000.

Retirement System — TRS (Teachers' Retirement System of Illinois)
the Board shall deduct and remit for each teacher the contribution required by the State of Illinois Teachers' Retirement System
Rif
Rif Recall Years — 2-year recall/honorable dismissal rights for involuntarily transferred teachers

Consideration for the priority assignment shall extend no more than two (2) years from the date of the teacher's transfer.

Salary Steps Count — Total number of experience steps on the salary schedule
Each full-time teacher shall be entitled to a total of 13 sick leave days while on vertical steps one (1) through ten (10), 14 days while on vertical steps 11 through 20, and 15 days while on vertical steps 21 and beyond

Sick Day Retirement Payout — Teachers retiring under TRS paid $60 per day for accumulated sick leave up to maximum of 40 days beyond TRS service credit usage
Teachers retiring under TRS shall be paid at the rate of $60 per day for accumulated sick leave earned in District 30 for up to a maximum of 40 days beyond what they use for TRS service credit.

Sick Days Annual — 13 sick leave days per year for steps 1-10; 14 days for steps 11-20; 15 days for steps 21+
Each full-time teacher shall be entitled to a total of 13 sick leave days while on vertical steps one (1) through ten (10), 14 days while on vertical steps 11 through 20, and 15 days while on vertical steps 21 and beyond with full pay per school year.

Sick Leave Max Days — Maximum sick leave accumulation of 340 days
Such sick leave shall accumulate to 340 days.
Retirement
Trs Tier — Tier II teachers eligible for 403b/457 match up to 1% of TRS creditable earnings on base salary
A Tier II teacher in the Teacher's Retirement System (TRS) who elects to make a contribution to a District-approved 403b or 457 will have their contribution matched up to 1% of their TRS creditable earnings on base salary.

Vision Coverage — Vision coverage may be available through cafeteria plan elections
