Battery Personal Injury Leave — Teacher absent from school due to personal injury caused by battery receives full salary for duration of absence without charging to sick leave; worker's compensation received by teacher turned over to District
Whenever a teacher is absent from school as a result of personal injury caused by battery arising out of, and in the course of his/her employment, he/she shall be paid his/her full salary for the period of such absence for the duration of the school year in which the battery occurred, without having such absence charged to annual sick leave or accumulated sick leave.

Teacher work year will be based on one hundred eighty (180) work days occurring during the Board-approved school calendar. Work days include student attendance days, e-learning days, four (4) institute days and parent-teacher conferences.

Discipline Written Warning Expiration — Written or oral warnings four calendar years or older shall not be used as basis for future discipline

Distribution Of Agreement — District shall print copies of Agreement for all bargaining unit employees; one copy per employee at start of school year or after ratification; email notification of availability on District website
The District shall print enough copies of the Agreement booklet for all bargaining unit employees to receive one copy of the Agreement during the life of the Agreement. The Agreement booklet shall be distributed to the faculty by the Union at the beginning of the school year or after ratification of the Agreement, whichever first occurs in a school year.

Double Class Compensation — Full double class remuneration at $33.00 per hour; half rate if responsibility shared
Where faculty members are asked to substitute or assume a full 'Double Class' situation they shall be remunerated at the rate of thirty-three dollars ($33.00) per hour. If the responsibility of the full extra class is shared (each teacher taking half the students in addition to their own) each will be remunerated at half the full rate.

Duty Free Lunch Minutes — Duty-free lunch period equal to regular lunch period, minimum 30 minutes
All teachers will receive a duty-free lunch period equal to the regular lunch period, but in no event shorter than required by the Illinois School Code. No teacher shall be required to remain in the building during his/her lunch period.

Emergency Transfer Release Days — Emergency transfer provides 2 days release time to complete move; third day may be granted at Superintendent discretion
In the event the emergency transfer occurs during the school year, release time consisting of (2) days shall be provided for the teacher to complete the move. At the Superintendent's discretion, a third day may be granted.

Evaluation Cycle Years — Pre-observation conference must precede each formal evaluation at least two (2) school days before formal observation
A pre-observation conference must precede each formal evaluation. This conference will occur at least two (2) school days before the formal observation. During this conference, the evaluator and the teacher will discuss the lesson plan and any areas on which the evaluator should focus during the observation.
