Base Salary Increase Yr1 — Certified National Teacher (Master Teacher) certification bonus
Any full-time teacher who completes certification as a certified national teacher through the program recognized by the Illinois State Board of Education (ISBE) and achieves 'Master Teacher' certification, the Board shall pay the teacher an additional $250 per year for each year the teacher maintains the Master Teacher certification.

A teacher on long-term unpaid leave of absence shall continue participation in the District's group health insurance program and receive the same Board paid monthly contribution toward the individual's teacher's single premium.

Instructional Minutes Day — High school and junior high teachers: 30-minute duty-free lunch, not less than one prep period per day. Elementary teachers: 40-minute duty-free lunch, 150+ minutes per week prep in 25-minute segments. Cantrall Intermediate: 30-minute lunch, 150 minutes per week prep.
High School and Junior High School teachers shall be provided a thirty (30) minute duty free lunch period and not less than one (1) preparation period per day. Elementary teachers...shall be provided at least a forty (40) minute, duty free lunch period. The elementary teachers...shall have a preparation period of not less than 150 minutes per week.

The District shall set aside $21,000 per year for reimbursement of teachers who earn graduate credit to obtain an additional teaching endorsement recognized by ISBE or in an accredited master's degree program, including a Principal Endorsement.

Certified staff members...may receive payment for days in excess of 170 days earned and accumulated in District #213. This will allow for payment of up to 50 days in accordance with the following: Teacher with over 15 years of uninterrupted service will receive $100.00 per day.

Student Transportation Reimbursement — District reimburses teacher deductible not to exceed $1,000 for liability payments from student transportation in personal vehicle
If a teacher, while in the course of his or her employment, transports a student within his or her own vehicle, the teacher will maintain at least the minimum automobile insurance required by law. The District will reimburse the teacher for his or her deductible, not to exceed $1,000.
