A teacher may use one sick day per school year as bereavement leave for any person not defined as 'family.' The term 'immediate family' is defined as parents, spouse, brothers, sisters, children, grandchildren, grandparents, parents-in-law, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, grandparents-in-law, step-parents, step-children, or legal guardian.

As curriculum is reviewed/changed, a Curriculum Advisory Committee shall provide the Board with input. The Committee shall be made up of members of the Board, Administration, and Faculty, with the faculty having input regarding teachers who will serve on the Committee.

The Board shall deduct from each teacher's pay the dues of the Association and of its affiliated organizations. All dues deducted by the Board shall be remitted to the Association no later than thirty (30) calendar days after such deductions are made.
