Arbitration Binding — Binding arbitration through American Arbitration Association (AAA); arbitrator decision is binding on all parties; expenses shared equally by Board and Union
The Union may submit the grievance to binding arbitration under the voluntary labor arbitration rules of the American Arbitration Association (AAA). The arbitrator shall follow the standard rules of the AAA and his/her decision shall be binding on all parties. Expenses for the arbitration services shall be borne equally by the Board and the Union.

Athletic Director Exclusion — Athletic Director excluded from bargaining unit; may revert to unit status if removed from administrative placement
Effective with the 2006-2007 school year, that the Athletic Director shall no longer be a member of the bargaining unit and the Union shall no longer be its exclusive bargaining agent. However, if the Board should remove the Athletic Director from its placement within the district's administration, then the position shall revert back to its original status within the bargaining unit and all contractual rights and privileges reinstated.

It is recognized that the spring season event coordinator has fewer responsibilities and, given that, may be suspended as an assignment, if the Board determines the position is unnecessary for the operations of the athletic program.
