Arbitration Binding — final and binding arbitration through Federal Mediation and Conciliation Service

Determination of insurance carriers and amount of premiums shall be determined by the Board of Education following analysis and, as applicable, a recommendation of an Insurance Committee made up of the Superintendent, and an equal representation of the Board and Association.

Extracurricular Ticket Pay — Teachers taking tickets at regular sporting events will be paid at a rate of $25 per evening
Teachers taking tickets at regular sporting events will be paid at a rate of $25 per evening. Tournament ticket takers will be paid $25 per every two contests and persons keeping score or running the clock will be paid $30 per night.

The Professional Development Award System recognizes professional development, teaching competencies, and civic service. Teachers recognized by the system shall receive an additional one-time monetary award of $150 above their regular salary.

At the beginning of each school year, each full-time Teacher shall be credited with two (2) days to be used for personal business. Part-time teachers shall receive one (1) day to be used for personal business.

Retirement Pickup Pct — The District will pay all of the teacher's required contribution to TRS
The board will pay all of the teacher's required contribution to the Illinois Downstate Teachers' Retirement System (TRS) in addition to the salary and Educational Advancement Stipends. The District will continue to pay T.H.I.S. in full.

A teacher may receive this ERI if he/she retires at the end of the school year (July 1-June 30) in which he/she first accumulates at least thirty-five years of creditable service in the Teachers Retirement System (TRS).

Rif Recall Years — Right to recall is in effect for one calendar year from the effective date of the lay-off
Right to recall shall be in effect for one (1) calendar year from the effective date of the lay-off. However, a Teacher's failure to respond affirmatively within ten (10) calendar days after receipt of the Board's letter sent by certified mail results in termination of the Teacher's rights of recall.

Special Events Attendance — Teachers expected to attend three special events per year
Teachers are expected to attend three special events per year. Each teacher will be required to attend and participate in Open House, and an additional two events in a supervisory role.
