Complaint Process — Employee complaint process with written presentation to Superintendent, employee response within three school days, investigation and appropriate action determination
The person or people making the complaint will present their complaint in writing to the Superintendent. Within one school day the Superintendent will present the complaint to the appropriate employee. The employee will respond in writing within three school days.

The teacher work year shall consist of no more than 180 teacher attendance days. The school calendar shall consist of 185 days of which five (5) will be designated as emergency days.

The evaluation process shall be conducted for each aide or non-certified employee once every two years for employees with more than four years of continuous experience in the District, and annually for all aides and non-certified staff covered by this agreement who have less than four years of continuous service.

A grievance must be initiated at the informal level within twenty (20) days of the occurrence of a grievance or when the employee or Association had knowledge of the events.

An employee will be required to turn over monies received for serving on jury duty during work days to the School District. Failure to reimburse will result in a deduction in salary equal to the amount received.

The Board shall pay the current IRS mileage rate for trips in which an employee uses his/her vehicle for school functions with prior administrative approval.

If a teacher in the district is a National Board Certified Teacher, the teacher shall receive a stipend of $500.00 per year upon proof of completion and renewal, in addition to the scheduled salary.

Parental Leave Days — 30 consecutive days of paid leave

Upon retirement, if the employee does not choose the retirement incentive, from the District any tenured employee with 5 or more years of employment shall receive $70.00 for each day of unused accumulated sick leave in the excess of 170 days and capped at 225 days.
