The decision of the arbitrator shall be final and binding on the parties. The arbitrator in his/her opinion, shall not amend, modify, nullify ignore or add to the provisions of the Agreement.

Bereavement Days — 3 bereavement leave days per school year
Each employee shall be entitled to a total of three (3) bereavement leave days with full pay/benefits per school year.
Workday
Contract Days Teacher — Work day 8:00 A.M. to 3:30 P.M. except employees may leave after all buses depart on Fridays, emergency days and holidays
The employee's work day shall be from 8:00 A.M. to 3:30 P.M. (except that employees may leave after all buses depart on Fridays, emergency days and holidays. Additional early releases may be approved at the discretion of the Superintendent).

Dues Deduction — Dues deducted from pay in equal payments beginning first payday of September through each payday thereafter
The Board shall deduct from each employee's pay the current dues of the Prairieview-Ogden Education Association-IEA/NEA, provided that the Board has an employee-executed authorization for dues deduction, the amount of which shall annually be certified by the Association.
Evaluation
Evaluation Cycle Years — Annual evaluation cycle with pre-observation conference, observation, and post-observation conference within defined timeframes
A pre-observation conference shall be held prior to the first formal performance observation of each evaluation cycle. The first performance observation shall be performed by the evaluator within ten (10) school days after the pre-observation conference.

Informal Step - free and informal communications. Formal Step 1 - Principal/designee, meeting within ten (10) days. Formal Step 2 - Superintendent within ten (10) days. Formal Step 3 - final and binding arbitration through American Arbitration Association (AAA).

The Board shall maintain an employee health benefit in the amount of: 2022-2023 - $7,200 (seven thousand two hundred)

Lane Advancement Allowed — Horizontal advancement on salary schedule for degree/hours earned: BA to BA+15 $1000, BA+15 to MA $2000, MA to MA+15 $2000, MA+15 to MA+30 $1000
Bargaining unit members shall receive horizontal advancement on the salary schedule for Degree/hours earned from the above procedures. Advanced placement shall occur at the beginning of September 1st after verification of successful completion is provided to the Superintendent.

The Board shall reimburse ticket takers at the rate of thirty and No/100 dollars ($30) per event. Each teacher will be required to take tickets at one home event per school year or find a substitute.

Personal Days Annual — Assignment notification 90 days before school year; right to resign without penalty if changed
Each employee shall be given written notice of his/her tentative assignment for the forthcoming year not later than ninety (90) days preceding the first day of the new school year. In the event changes in such assignment are proposed, the employee affected shall be notified promptly and have the right to resign without penalty.

Retirement Pickup Pct — Board pays 1.24% of IRS gross salary to TRS Health Insurance Security Fund as board paid contribution
The Board shall pay a sum up to 1.24% times each teacher's Internal Revenue Service (IRS) gross salary which sum shall be paid on behalf of said teacher to the Illinois Teacher's Health Insurance Security Fund as a board paid contribution
Retirement
Retirement System — Illinois Teacher Retirement System (TRS)
The Board shall pay a sum up to 9.8901% times each teacher's Internal Revenue Service (IRS) gross salary which sum shall be paid on behalf of said teacher to the Illinois Teacher Retirement System (TRS)
Rif
Rif Recall Years — Seniority determined by consecutive years of continuous full time service; probationary employees removed before tenured on basis of performance evaluations
If the Board shall determine it is necessary to honorably dismiss teachers, it shall first consider the teacher's certification areas and qualifications. Among teachers who satisfy all certification and qualification requirements, performance evaluations shall be used to determine the sequence of layoff.

Sick Days Annual — 12 sick leave days for employees with 15+ years experience
Employees with fifteen (15) or more years of experience shall be entitled to a total of twelve (12) sick leave days with full pay/benefits per school year.

Sick Leave Max Days — Maximum 5 personal leave days may accumulate
All employees may accumulate up to 5 personal leave days. Unused personal leave days, beyond the maximum five (5) allowed, shall accumulate as sick leave.

Step Increase — Permanent involuntary transfer compensated with one-time stipend of $1,000
If an employee must be permanently, involuntarily transferred to a new position, such employee shall be eligible for a one-time stipend in the amount of $1,000.00.

Unit Orientation Time — One (1) hour for Association orientation within two (2) weeks of hire
Within two (2) weeks of the start date of newly-hired employees, the district shall allow the Association access to such employees a period of time not to exceed one (1) hour for the purposes of orientation to, and providing information on, the Association.
