Grievance
Arbitration Binding — Final and binding arbitration through American Arbitration Association
If the Association is not satisfied with the disposition of the grievance at Step Two, the Association may submit the grievance to final and binding arbitration. The American Arbitration Association shall act as administrator of the proceedings.

Ba Min Salary — Teaching load not to exceed 6 teaching and supervising periods of 52 minutes with one preparatory period
The normal teaching load shall not exceed six (6) teaching and supervising periods of fifty-two (52) minutes in length, and will include one preparatory period during the student day equivalent to that of one instructional period.

Up to a maximum of three (3) days shall be granted each case where death has occurred in the immediate family.

Contract Days Teacher — Assignment notification by June 1 for forthcoming school year; changes after August 5 permitted only in emergencies
All employees shall be given written notice of their assignments for the forthcoming school year no later than June 1. In the event that changes in assignments are proposed, the employee affected shall be notified promptly. In no event shall changes in the employee's assignment be made later than August 5 unless an emergency exists.

Dental Coverage — Board provides dental insurance for full-time employees and dependents, selected by Board after consultation with Association
Board shall provide dental insurance for each full-time employee, and if applicable, for his/her dependents, in a company selected by the Board of Education after consultation with the Association.
Compensation
District Vehicle Driver Rate — Thirty dollars per round trip
Coaches and sponsors who agree to drive District vehicles to games and events shall be paid at a rate of $30 per round trip.

Dual Course Payment — Two thousand dollars per year for teaching dual course
Any teacher required to teach a dual course (i.e., a course where two separate educational subjects are scheduled and taught in the same classroom at the same time) shall be compensated an additional two thousand ($2000) per year.

The Board may not approve an extra duty assignment for a teacher receiving the retirement incentive that will cause such participant's total creditable earnings to exceed 106% of the previous year's creditable earnings.

In order to qualify for the Hall High School Early Retirement Option, the teacher must have completed a minimum of fifteen (15) years of creditable service in the District preceding retirement, and must be at least 55 years of age.

Evaluation Cycle Years — All formal observations conducted with full knowledge of employee; informal observations reduced to writing and copy given within seven work days
All formal observations of an employee shall be conducted with the full knowledge of the employee. Any informal observation which is to be utilized in the evaluation of an employee shall be reduced to writing and a copy given to the employee within seven work days of the observation.

The employee shall present the grievance to the immediately involved supervisor within eight (8) days of the event giving rise to the grievance.

Instructional Minutes Day — Work day 7:45 a.m. to 3:15 p.m.; employees at classroom no later than 7:50 a.m.
The employee work day shall be from 7:45 a.m. until 3:15 p.m. and employees will be at their assigned classroom no later than 7:50am.

Lane Advancement Allowed — Teachers with 5 or more different course preparations require consultation; those with 5 different course preparations not assigned homeroom; those with more than 5 receive $1500/semester additional compensation
Five or more different course preparations will require consultation with all members of the department and administration. Any teacher who has five different course preparations will not be assigned a homeroom. Any teacher who has in excess of five different course preparations shall receive additional compensation of $1500 per semester.

The Board will offer an extended contract to the Director of Guidance. The contract shall be extended 20 days. Other counselors may have their contracts extended by 10 days. Compensation for each day shall be calculated on the basis of 1/180 of each teacher's compensations for the subject school year.

Personal Days Annual — Two days of personal business leave per year, cumulative to 4 days
Each teacher shall be entitled to two (2) days of personal business leave without loss of pay. Such leave shall be cumulative up to four (4) days.

Not more than two (2) years' credit shall be granted for military service, which shall be on the basis of one (1) year of credit for each year of service.
