Either party may request that the matter be submitted to binding arbitration. The matter shall be assigned to an arbitrator provided by the Illinois Labor Relations Board from the Illinois Education Labor Mediation Roster.

Attendance Incentive — Attendance recognition: $250 for 0 sick/personal days per semester; $150 for 1 day; $75 for 2 days (max 1 payment per semester)
At the end of each semester, any teacher who has used two (2) or fewer sick and/or personal days during that semester shall qualify to receive an attendance recognition payment as follows: if zero (0) sick and/or personal days are used the teacher shall qualify for a payment of $250.

A sum of $10,000 will be budgeted annually for the purchase of classroom materials and supplies. This figure will be divided evenly among the certified teachers on an annual basis.

Each employee covered by this Agreement shall be guaranteed 177 days of work or equivalent pay each school year, the extra day granted to be used as a day of cleaning.

A written grievance must be filed with Building Principal within 7 days. If unresolved in 5 days, Business Rep and Superintendent attempt adjustment in 5 days. If unresolved, submitted to Board of Education for 30 days. If unresolved, submitted to binding arbitration.

Aides who are hired after the start of a school year will begin at Experience Step #0 per the CBA. Aides, who then return the following year without any break in service, will be granted their next step increase upon anniversary date.
