Ai Restricted Use Evaluation — AI or automated systems shall not be used for evaluation, assessment, observation, or creation of performance reviews
The District agrees that artificial intelligence (AI) or automated systems shall not be used in any capacity for the evaluation, assessment, observation, or creation of performance reviews for certified staff members. All assessments must be conducted by qualified human administrators.

Arbitration Binding — Binding arbitration through American Arbitration Association
If the Union is not satisfied at Step Three, the Union may submit the grievance to binding arbitration. The services of the American Arbitration Association shall be employed.

Base Salary Increase Yr1 — $141 increase above previous year base salary for BA lane teachers frozen on step (2025-2026)
For the 2025-2026 school year, any teacher in a BA lane that is frozen on step shall receive an increase of one hundred forty-one dollars ($141) above their previous years' base salary.

For the 2025-2026 school year, existing classified employees have been placed on the realigned salary schedule. Each subsequent contract year, each classified staff member will advance one vertical step.

Bereavement Days — Up to five (5) days with pay for immediate family death; one (1) day for extended family
Bereavement Leave of up to five (5) days with pay and without loss of sick leave shall be granted for each death in the immediate family. Bereavement Leave of one (1) day with pay and sick leave deduction shall be granted for each death of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and grandparents-in-law.

Steps within progressive discipline shall typically (but not exclusively) be oral warning, a written warning including a conference with an administrator and union representation, suspension with or without pay, docking and dismissal.

Classified Evaluation Timeline — Formal evaluation provided to classified staff at least 15 days prior to end of school year
A formal evaluation will be provided in writing to a classified staff member at least 15 days prior to the end of the school year. Each classified staff member will be given an opportunity to discuss any evaluation made by an evaluator.

Classified Full Time Threshold — 30 or more hours per week is considered full-time
Any classified staff member working 30 or more hours per week will be considered a full-time employee. All classified staff who work at least five hours in a workday shall be given a forty (40) minute unpaid lunch.

Classified Overtime Threshold — Any time worked beyond 30 hours per week at regular hourly rate until 40 hours; beyond 40 hours at time and one half
Any time worked beyond thirty hours (30) hours in a week will be paid at the classified staff member's regular hourly rate of pay until the total number of hours worked reaches forty (40) hours for the week. Beyond 40 hours, overtime pay shall be paid at time and one half the classified staff member's regular hourly rate of pay.

Classified Workday Hours — Work year consists of pupil attendance days plus one (1) additional day
The work year shall consist of pupil attendance days plus one (1) additional day at the beginning of the school year as assigned by the administration. The administration may add up to one (1) additional day of training prior to the 1st Teacher Institute Day if needed (up to two (2) additional days total).

Consulting Teacher Compensation — Consulting teacher paid according to Appendix IV, Group IV, in addition to regular salary
A consulting teacher shall be paid (in addition to his/her regular salary) according to Appendix IV, Group IV. This stipend shall apply to the time spent observing the certified staff member, preparing, and implementing remediation materials/suggestions and consulting with the certified staff member and/or the qualified evaluator.

Costs beyond ten thousand two hundred dollars ($10,200) shall be equally shared through a fifty percent (50%) Board and fifty percent (50%) staff member split.

Evaluation Cycle Years — Remediation plan provides 90 school days of remediation in classroom for 'unsatisfactory' rated staff
The plan shall provide for ninety (90) school days of remediation in the classroom. A midterm evaluation will be provided to the certified staff member halfway through the 90-day plan and a final evaluation will occur at the conclusion of the plan.

The provisions of this leave article shall be subject to the district policy regarding the Family and Medical Leave Act.

Grievance procedure: Step One - Administration within thirty days; Step Two - Superintendent within ten days; Step Three - Board within ten days; Step Four - Binding arbitration.

Health Single Premium — Board shall pay for individual cost of medical, dental health, and life insurance up to ten thousand two hundred dollars per full-time staff member
In each year of the agreement the Board shall pay for the individual cost of medical, dental health, and life insurance up to ten thousand two hundred dollars ($10,200) per full-time staff member.

Hsa Employer Contribution — Maximum reimbursement for eligible medical expenses
Classified staff members that do not enroll in the health insurance plan of the District will also be eligible for reimbursement of eligible medical expenses of up to $4,000 maximum each plan year.

Instructional Minutes Day — 7:45 AM - 3:30 PM five days a week
The certified staff workday will be from 7:45 AM - 3:30 PM five days a week. Further, the district would agree to a weekly one-hour early release or late start for students on a day that is mutually agreed upon between the union and administration.

Lane Advancement Allowed — Masters lane change adds $1,425 to prior year base salary per lane change (MA+9, MA+18, MA+27, MA+36)
Masters lane changes shall add one thousand four hundred and twenty-five dollars ($1,425) to the previous years' base salary for each lane change, MA+9, MA+18, MA+27, MA+36.

Mentoring Program — Mentoring provided for two (2) year cycle for new certified staff and classified staff
Mentoring will be provided for a two (2) year cycle for new certified staff and classified staff. Certified staff and classified staff that serve as a mentor will be paid at the stipend rates listed in Appendix II, in which the first year is mandatory and the second year is voluntary.

Vacancy Posting Internal — Positions open due to reassignment or vacancy posted internally for five calendar days
Positions open due to reassignment or open positions will be posted internally for a period of five calendar days. Postings will occur simultaneously when there is not a qualified internal candidate, it is a hard to fill position, or the opening occurred on or after May 1st.
