Ba Min Salary — $46,602
The Base Salary for September 1, 2023 -August 31, 2024 will be $46,602.

The Base Salary for September 1, 2024 - August 31, 2025 shall increase by 1% ($47,068.02). Every association member will receive a 1% increase on their previous salary.

Contract Days Teacher — All teaching personnel shall be in their assigned buildings fifteen minutes before school starts and after school is dismissed for the purpose of fulfilling their professional responsibilities.

Insurance
Employee Premium Share Pct — 5% of TRS contribution for 2023-24
For the 2023-24 school year, the board shall remit on the teachers' behalf a portion of the annual TRS contribution amount not to exceed 5%. The remaining amount (4%) will be paid by the teacher.

Evaluation Cycle Years — All teachers in contractual continued service will be evaluated at least once every two years based upon the performance of his/her job description.

Extra Duty Compensation — $36.00 per hour for extra duty
Teachers who volunteer to serve as in-house substitutes during planning or lunch periods will be compensated at $36.00 per occurrence. Those who work outside contract hours on committee work shall be compensated at $36.00 per hour.

A grievance must be filed within ten (10) days of the occurrence of the event which gave rise to the grievance... STEP FIVE: If the grievance is not satisfactorily resolved at STEP FOUR, the grievance shall proceed to binding arbitration.

Retirement
Local Retirement Program Salary Cap — 6% salary increase cap in last 4 years before retirement
In each of the last four (4) years prior to a teacher's retirement from CUSD #2, a teacher's salary will be capped at a six percent (6%) increase in yearly earnings reported to the Teacher's Retirement System.

No Strike Lockout — No employee covered by the Agreement, nor the Association, shall engage in, authorize, or instigate any strike against the Board during the term of this Agreement. Likewise, the Board shall agree not to engage in a lockout during the term of this agreement.

Off Schedule Bonus Yr1 — $5,000 two-year signing bonus
The administration may, at its discretion, where there are fewer than five applicants, offer a two year signing bonus of $5,000 with $2,500 payable after completion of the first year.

Personal Days Annual — 2 days per year initially
The Board of Education shall grant their full-time teachers personal leave provisions in the amount of two (2) days of full pay in each school year for personal matters which cannot reasonably be handled during non-school days or hours.

Professional Development Reimbursement — $100 per credit hour for tuition reimbursement
The Board agrees to pay for a certified teacher's professional development at the rate of $100 per credit hour for reimbursement for tuition. To receive this reimbursement, the teacher must enroll and be accepted to a program from an accredited college or university.

Referral Bonus — $500 referral bonus per referred teacher
Current staff members will be offered a referral bonus of $500 for any certified teacher they refer, provided that the referral is hired by the district and completes one full year of teaching.
Retirement
Retirement System — TRS (Teachers' Retirement System)
For the 2024-25 school year, the board shall remit on the teachers' behalf, the entire portion of the TRS contribution amount (9.0%).
Rif
Rif Recall Years — Honorably dismissed teachers retain accrued rights and accumulated seniority. Any recalled teacher shall retain his/her accrued rights and all accumulated seniority; however, any period after the honorable dismissal during which the tenured teacher did not teach shall not be counted toward seniority.

Sick Days Annual — 20 days after 20 years verified TRS service
After twenty (20) years of verified TRS service, the Board of Education shall grant their full-time teachers sick leave provisions in the amount of twenty days (20) days of full pay in each school year.

Sick Leave Max Days — 350 days maximum accumulated sick leave
If any such teacher or employee does not use the full amount of annual leave thus allowed, the unused amount shall accumulate to a maximum available leave of 350 days at full pay, including the leave of the current year.

Step Increase — $1,000 increase per lane change
Association members will receive a $1,000 increase per lane change (lanes based on the New Hires Placement Schedule – Appendix 4), and a $1,500 increase for earning a Masters or Advanced Degree.
