Arbitration Binding — Final and binding arbitration available under American Arbitration Association rules
If the Association is not satisfied with the disposition of the grievance at Step One, it may, within thirty-five (35) days of the Step One response, submit the grievance to expedited final and binding arbitration proceedings under the rules of the American Arbitration Association.

For purposes of interpretation of this Article, in the instance of sick leave usage for death in the immediate family, the School Code definition of immediate family shall be expanded to include those persons who are close friends, aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.

Bonus Timing — Bonus paid in September or within 60 days following last paycheck
The bonus shall be paid following the teacher's last paycheck, and shall not be TRS creditable earnings. However, the bonus shall be paid in September or at most 60 days following the last paycheck received.

Contract Days Teacher — Employee work year shall not exceed 180 days
The Board shall establish a school calendar not to exceed one hundred seventy-six (176) pupil attendance days, four (4) institute days and five (5) emergency days. The employee work year shall not exceed one hundred eighty (180) days.

Evaluation Cycle Years — Tenured teachers shall be formally evaluated at least once every two (2) years
Probationary teachers shall be formally evaluated at least twice each year, and tenured teachers shall be formally evaluated at least once every two (2) years.

Freedom Of Information Copy Cost — Copying charge for Freedom of Information Act requests shall not exceed Seven Cents per page
Any copying charge levied shall not exceed actual per page cost to the District of such reproductions. For the term of this Agreement, such charge shall not exceed Seven Cents ($0.07) per page.
Grievance
Grievance Steps — Step One meeting with Superintendent; Step Two may advance to binding arbitration
The grievant may file a grievance within sixty (60) days of the event giving rise to the grievance, or the grievant's knowledge of the same, whichever is later, with the District Superintendent. The Superintendent shall arrange for a meeting to take place with the grievant within thirty-five (35) days.

Health Single Premium — Board pays 93% of single premium
The Board shall pay ninety-three percent (93%) of the single premium amount toward the group health insurance premium.

Hire Date Restriction — Employees hired after April 1, 2014 are prohibited from participation in post-retirement incentive
Regardless of age, service credit, or other eligibility, any employee who is hired for the first time after April 1, 2014 or is hired for the first time prior to April 1, 2014 and has a subsequent break-in-service by discontinuing employment with the district shall be prohibited from participation in the retirement incentive.

The employee work day shall not exceed seven and one-half (7 1/2) clock hours, except that teachers shall be required to work beyond the seven and one-half (7 1/2) hour day on occasion.

Lane Advancement Allowed — Lane advancement based on college credit completion allowed
One (1) hour college credit is earned for each fourteen (14) hours of workshop attendance. This credit is applicable to movement horizontally on the salary schedule. A maximum of one (1) hour college credit per year through workshop attendance is acceptable, with a lifetime maximum of eight (8) credit hours earned through workshop attendance.

Off Schedule Bonus Yr1 — 6% retirement incentive for first year of eligibility
The retirement incentive period (for which a six percent (6%) incentive is paid pursuant to all the conditions contained herein) shall not be less than one (1) year, nor more than four (4) years in length, depending upon the date the letter of resignation is received by the Board and the specified date of retirement.
