Arbitration shall be conducted by the American Dispute Resolution Center (ADRC) in accordance with its procedures and resolutions. The Arbitrator shall be bound by and must comply with the terms of this Agreement.

Health Single Premium โ€” High Deductible Health Plan (HDHP) design with Health Savings Account Feature (HSA) mandatory for teachers hired on and after July 1, 2013
Enrollment in the HDHP shall be mandatory for teachers hired on and after July 1, 2013. The details of the HDHP Plan are described in summary form in Appendix C for informational purposes.

Hsa Employer Contribution โ€” Board will contribute fifty percent (50%) of the applicable HDHP deductible amount. Contributions deposited two (2) times per year: September 1st and January 1st for existing teachers; on or around July 1st for first-time enrollees.

The Board's contribution toward the HDHP deductible will be deposited into the HSA accounts two (2) times per year, with the first payment made on or around September 1st and the second payment on or around January 1st.

If the Board elects to increase the teacher's regular workday more than a de minimus amount beyond a seven (7) hour workday, it will negotiate the impact of such change on teachers' salaries with the Association.

The Board will provide fifty thousand dollars ($50,000) group life insurance with accidental death and dismemberment insurance for each teacher who requests such coverage, subject to any limitations imposed by the carrier(s).

Upon the submission of a voluntary written authorization signed by a teacher, the Brooklyn Board of Education agrees to deduct from the teacher an amount equal to the Association membership dues by means of payroll deductions.

If a position becomes open during such period, the teacher has been selected by the Board of Education as a person on the recall list, teacher will be notified thirty (30) days prior.
