Arbitration Binding — Final and binding arbitration under American Arbitration Association rules
the grievant may submit the grievance to final and binding arbitration under the Voluntary Labor Arbitration Rules of the American Arbitration Association, which shall act as the administrator of the proceedings.

Teachers will be authorized three (3) days of bereavement leave per year, limited to the immediate family. The term immediate family shall be interpreted to include wife, husband, son, daughter, father, mother, sister, brother, grandfather, grandmother, aunt, uncle and corresponding in-laws.

The school year for all teachers shall be consistent with the School Code. Computation of salaries will be based on 180 days.

The Employer shall honor employees' individually authorized deduction forms and shall make such deductions in the amounts certified by the Union for union dues, assessments, or fees.

Iep Days Annual — One day leave for IEP meetings with minimum 40 minutes planning and preparation daily
Employees who are required to write IEP's may receive one (1) day leave to plan and hold meetings. Planning sessions shall be held on school grounds. All IEP leave days must be requested with at least 5 school days in advance.

Instructional Minutes Day — 7 hours and 20 minutes per day (440 minutes minus 45-minute duty-free lunch)
The length of the school day for teachers will be seven (7) hours and twenty (20) minutes including a 45-minute duty free lunch period. The day shall begin twenty (20) minutes before the first bell and end twenty (20) minutes after the last bell.

During the terms of this Agreement, employees shall not participate in a strike in whole or in part.

Off Schedule Bonus Yr1 — Retirement incentive: 6% per year for 1-4 years over previous year's creditable earnings
Those teachers giving notice of intent to retire of at least one (1) year and no more than four (4) years, who have taught full time in the District for at least ten (10) years, and who are eligible to retire under the provisions of TRS, shall receive an increase in salary of 6% per year.

Rif Recall Years — Honorably dismissed teachers subject to recall per 105 ILCS 5/24-12 (6)
The District will comply with the requirements of honorable dismissal and recall of honorably dismissed teachers as defined in 105 ILCS 5/24-12 (6).

Salary Steps Count — 22 salary steps with maximum at step 22
The salary of a teacher entering into longevity shall have their salary frozen at step 22 in whichever column they are in and longevity payments will be added to this figure.

Teachers may accumulate a maximum of 360 days of unused sick leave.

Step Increase — Educational credit awarded for Bachelor's (up to 10 years) and Master's (up to 11 years) degrees from public schools or Department of Education institutions
Any teacher shall receive education credit as follows, if entitled. Any teacher can receive up to ten (10) years of educational credit in any of the Bachelors Columns or up to eleven (11) years of educational credit in the Masters Columns.
Compensation
Tuition Reimbursement Max — Maximum $2,500 per school year for college credit courses with grade B or higher
Reimbursement shall be equal to the current tuition rates for Illinois residents at an Illinois State accredited college or university, not to exceed two-thousand five hundred dollars ($2,500) in any one school year.
