Arbitration Binding — Binding arbitration available at final step
The Authority of the Arbitrator shall be limited to rendering a decision based upon the terms of this Agreement, and shall not include the authority to change or modify any of the terms or conditions thereof.

Association Building Use — Association has privilege of reasonable use of school buildings
The ASSOCIATION shall have the privilege of reasonable use of school buildings when said use does not interfere with the duties of EMPLOYEES, or with the rights of pupils, or with the conduct of school activities.

Association Leave — Association may use aggregate total of 15 days per year for employee attendance at conferences; ASSOCIATION reimburses for substitute costs
The Superintendent may grant an aggregate total of fifteen (15) days of leave under this Section for which EMPLOYEE(S) shall be excused without loss of salary, providing that the ASSOCIATION reimburses the BOARD for the cost of obtaining substitutes.

Basic schedules of compensation for certified EMPLOYEES shall be as set forth in Appendix A, which is attached hereto and made a part of this Agreement.

Base Salary Increase Yr1 — Overtime compensation at 1.5 times regular hourly wage for hours over 40 per week
EMPLOYEES who actually work 40 or more hours in the same work week shall be paid overtime at the rate of one and one-half (1 1/2) times their regular hourly wage for each hour worked in excess of said 40 hours worked in the same work week.

The BOARD shall deduct from each EMPLOYEE's pay the current dues of the ASSOCIATION provided that the BOARD has received said authorization form.

Employee Notice For Meeting — 48 hours written notice required when employee must appear before board
Any EMPLOYEE who is required by written notice to appear before the BOARD or its representative for a discussion concerning the continuation of said EMPLOYEE in his or her position of employment shall be given a minimum of 48 hour notice in writing.

Employee Premium Share Pct — Part-time employees receive benefits only if hours are 30+ per week per insurance carrier rules
Part-time EMPLOYEES shall receive the benefits described in Sections 7.1 and 7.3 to the extent that: Their hours of employment, not including lunch periods, are thirty (30) hours or more per week.
Evaluation
Evaluation Cycle Years — The District and the Association shall each appoint an equal number of representatives to the Teacher Evaluation Committee, which shall meet at least once a year to continue to review the Professional Practice & Student Growth Teacher Evaluation Plan.
The evaluation will be conducted in accordance with the procedures set forth in the Evaluation Plan Document and Article 24A of the School Code. The District and the Association shall each appoint an equal number of representatives to the Teacher Evaluation Committee, which shall meet at least once a year.

A grievance shall be: A formal claim, in writing as provided herein, by any EMPLOYEE in the bargaining unit that there has been a violation of the terms of this Agreement; reduced to writing by the aggrieved party on forms provided by the Association President.

Instructional Minutes Day — The normal working day for EMPLOYEES shall be 7 hours and 50 minutes between the hours of 7 a.m. and 3:50 p.m., including duty free lunch.

The President of the ASSOCIATION or the President's designee shall be notified by email of any legally required notices posted on electronic media of all regular and special meetings of the BOARD at least twenty four (24) hours prior to the scheduled time.

Off Schedule Bonus Yr1 — Certified staff with outside experience placed on salary schedule at one-to-one rate for first 8 years; two-to-one rate for further experience
Upon hire, certified employees will be placed on the salary schedule according to their prior accumulated experience as a certified teacher. The first eight years of prior experience will be granted at a one to one rate on the salary schedule.

Rif Recall Years — one calendar year from the beginning of the following school term
A full-time EMPLOYEE dismissed for reasons of a reduction in workforce shall be entitled to recall, first to any vacant position in the work classification from which the employee was dismissed and then to any vacant position for which he or she is qualified, from the date of layoff and continuing for a period of one calendar year from the beginning of the following school term.
