Bereavement Days — Maximum of three bereavement leave days for death of specified relatives
Should death occur of a legal guardian, parent, step-parent, spouse, civil union partner, child, step-child, grandparent, step-grandparent, grandchild, step-grandchild, brother, sister, parent-in-law, aunt, uncle, niece, nephew, son-in-law, daughter-in-law, brother-in-law, or sister-in-law, the full-time teacher shall be granted a maximum of three (3) bereavement leave days without loss of pay or benefits.

Board Meeting Notice Hours — Association president given written notice of Board meetings at least 48 hours prior
The president of the Association or his/her designee shall be given written notice of any regular or special meeting of the Board at least forty-eight (48) hours prior to the scheduled time.

Contract Days Teacher — Minimum term of at least 185 days to insure 180 days of actual pupil attendance
The Board of Education shall annually prepare a calendar for the school term, specifying the opening and closing dates and providing a minimum term of at least one hundred eighty-five (185) days to insure 180 days of actual pupil attendance and institute days as required by law.

Dues Checkoff — District will deduct regular Association dues from each Employee's paycheck for whom written authorization has been submitted
During the term of this Agreement the District will deduct from each Employee's paycheck the regular Association dues for each Employee in the bargaining unit for whom a written authorization has been submitted to the District.

Employee Premium Share Pct — Employer contributions to health insurance; employee contributions per salary reduction agreement
Each employee may designate a portion of his/her compensation for salary reduction contributions to health, dental or hospitalization insurance and child care expenses subject to Internal Revenue Code Section 125 plan rules.

Evaluation Cycle Years — Written evaluation completed by Director of Buildings and Grounds by June 30 of each year

Family coverage (employee plus dependents) - The Board will pay 66% of the total monthly premium for family coverage.

Lane Advancement Allowed — Step movement limited to one step down when changing vertical lanes

Lunch Period — Unpaid duty free lunch of at least one-half hour for employees scheduled 7.5 or more hours per day
An unpaid duty free lunch of at least one-half hour shall be provided to all bargaining unit Employees scheduled to work seven and one-half (7 ½) or more hours per day.

Off Schedule Bonus Yr1 — longevity increase of $0.50 per hour for 10+ years of service
Any full-time Custodian/Maintenance Assistant that has worked 10 years in the District shall receive a longevity increase of $0.50 per hour added to their hourly rate.

Overtime Multiplier — Overtime pay at rate of one and one half (1.5) times the employee's regular hourly rate
An Employee shall be paid at a rate of one and one half (1.5) times the employee's regular hourly rate of pay for all hours actually worked in excess of forty (40) hours in the Employee's normal work week.

Personal Days Annual — Three days for personal reasons per year with collective maximum of 7 days
Three (3) days for personal reasons per year will be granted with a collective maximum of seven (7) days. If these seven (7) days are not used for personal reasons, the additional days awarded each succeeding year will be added to the employee's personal sick leave with a collective maximum of 405 sick leave days.

Personnel File Review Rights — Teachers have right to review personnel file contents kept in Central Office with Association member present
Each teacher shall have the right, upon request, to review the contents of his/her own personal file which will be kept in the Central Office. The teacher may be accompanied by a member of the Association.

Professional Relations Partnership Meetings — Three meetings scheduled before October 1st to discuss working conditions and proposed policy changes
Before October 1st, three (3) meetings shall be scheduled to take place during the school year. The purpose is to discuss matters relating to school issues such as working conditions and proposed changes to Board policy involving working conditions.

Retirement Pickup Pct — Board pays up to 9.4% of TRS contribution as employer pickup
Board Paid Retirement: In addition to the salary paid according to the salary schedule appearing in Article XII, and also including any extra duty stipends, the Board will pick up and pay the employee's required contribution to the TRS up to 9.4% (This is effectively 10.4396%).

Sick Days Annual — Accumulated and unused sick leave days restored upon recall from layoff
Upon being recalled pursuant to the provisions of this Article, the accumulated and unused sick leave days that the Employee had at the time of his/her layoff shall be restored.

Sick leave shall accumulate to four hundred five (405) days. Full-time teachers covered under this CBA who have not accumulated more than 240 sick days and are not in their final two years of service shall be granted an additional, one time only, 120 sick days at Step 25.

Workday — One fifteen (15) minute break for every four (4) hours worked
Each Employee shall receive one fifteen (15) minute break for every four (4) hours worked. Breaks shall be taken at a time that promotes effective operation of the District's schools.
