Cookie Policy

Last Updated: July 10, 2026

This Cookie Policy explains how Gaus LLC d/b/a CollBar ("CollBar," "we," "us," or "our") uses cookies and similar technologies on collbar.com and in the CollBar Data Intelligence application. It supplements our Privacy Policy.

What Are Cookies?

Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. They allow the site to recognize your device, remember your preferences, keep you signed in, and understand how the site is used. Related technologies — such as local storage, pixels, and SDKs — serve similar purposes; we refer to all of these as "cookies" in this Policy.

Cookies may be "first-party" (set by us) or "third-party" (set by our service providers). They may be "session" cookies (deleted when you close your browser) or "persistent" cookies (retained for a set period).

Categories of Cookies We Use

Essential cookies (always active). These are necessary for the Site and Service to function and cannot be switched off in our systems. They include cookies that authenticate your account session, maintain security (such as fraud prevention and load balancing), remember your cookie preferences, and enable payment processing through Stripe. Without these cookies, the Service cannot operate. Examples: session/authentication cookies (duration: session or up to 30 days); Stripe payment and fraud-prevention cookies (durations set by Stripe, typically up to 1 year); cookie-consent preference cookie (up to 12 months).

Analytics cookies. These help us understand how visitors use the Site — which pages are visited, how long visitors stay, and where traffic comes from — so we can improve content and performance. Information collected is aggregated. Example: Google Analytics (cookies such as _ga, _gid; durations from 24 hours up to 2 years). You can opt out of Google Analytics across the web using Google's opt-out browser add-on, in addition to the controls described below.

Marketing cookies. We do not currently use marketing, advertising, or cross-site tracking cookies.

Your Choices

Cookie preferences. You can accept or decline non-essential cookies through the cookie preferences banner or panel on our Site. Non-essential cookies are not set until you make a choice, and you can change your preferences at any time via the "Cookie Preferences" link in the footer.

Browser controls. Most browsers let you block or delete cookies through their settings. If you block essential cookies, portions of the Site and Service (including sign-in) may not function.

Global Privacy Control. Where required by applicable law, we honor the Global Privacy Control (GPC) browser signal as a valid opt-out of any sale or sharing of personal information. As stated in our Privacy Policy, we do not sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.

Do Not Track. Because there is no common industry standard for "Do Not Track" browser signals, we do not respond to DNT signals at this time. This does not affect our handling of the GPC signal described above.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time, including to reflect changes in the cookies and providers we use. We will post the updated Policy with a revised "Last Updated" date.
