Your Privacy Rights (U.S. State Privacy Notice)

This notice supplements the CollBar Privacy Policy and is provided by Gaus LLC d/b/a CollBar ("CollBar," "we," "us," or "our") for residents of U.S. states with comprehensive consumer privacy laws — including California, Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia, Utah, Texas, Oregon, Montana, and other states with similar laws in effect ("State Privacy Laws").

Some State Privacy Laws apply only to businesses that meet certain revenue or data-volume thresholds. CollBar provides the rights described below as a matter of good practice, whether or not a particular statute applies, subject to applicable legal exceptions.

Personal Information We Collect

In the 12 months preceding the Last Updated date, we have collected the following categories of personal information:

Identifiers — such as name, work email address, phone number, organization, job title, IP address, and account credentials. Collected directly from you and automatically from your browser or device. Used to provide the Site and Service, manage accounts, communicate with you, and prevent fraud. Disclosed to service providers (hosting, payments, email, analytics, AI processing).

Commercial information — such as subscription plan, transaction history, and services considered or purchased. Collected directly from you and from our payment processor. Used to process transactions, provide support, and improve the Service. Disclosed to service providers (including Stripe for payment processing).

Internet or other electronic network activity — such as pages visited, features used, and interactions with the Site and Service. Collected via cookies and similar technologies. Used to operate, secure, and improve the Site and Service and measure marketing. Disclosed to analytics service providers.

Professional or employment-related information — such as your organization and role, provided by you in connection with your account or inquiries. Used to provide and tailor the Service. Disclosed to service providers.

We do not collect Social Security numbers, driver's license or passport numbers, precise geolocation, biometric information, or health information through the Site or Service. Payment card numbers are collected directly by Stripe, our payment processor, not by us.

Publicly available information. The Service includes professional and compensation data about public-sector employees compiled from publicly available government records. Under State Privacy Laws, lawfully obtained publicly available government information is generally not "personal information" subject to these rights. See Section 2 of our Privacy Policy.

No Sale or Sharing

We do not sell personal information, and we do not share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising or targeted advertising. Because we do not sell or share personal information, no opt-out is required; if our practices change, we will update this notice and provide the required opt-out mechanisms, including recognition of the Global Privacy Control.

Sensitive Personal Information

We do not collect sensitive personal information as defined by State Privacy Laws, other than account log-in credentials, which we use solely to authenticate your account and maintain security. We do not use or disclose sensitive personal information for purposes requiring a right to limit under the CCPA.

Your Rights

Subject to applicable law and verification, you have the right to: know/access the categories and specific pieces of personal information we have collected about you, the sources, the purposes, and the categories of recipients; delete personal information we collected from you; correct inaccurate personal information; portability — receive a copy of your personal information in a usable format; and non-discrimination for exercising your rights.

We may deny or partially fulfill requests where permitted by law — for example, where information is subject to a legal retention requirement, or where we cannot verify your identity.

How to Submit a Request

Submit requests by email to hello@collbar.com or by mail to Gaus LLC d/b/a CollBar, 4117 Town Square Dr, Columbia, Missouri 65203. Please include your name, the email associated with your account or inquiry, your state of residence, and the right you wish to exercise.

Verification. We will verify your identity using information associated with your account or prior interactions with us, and may request additional information where necessary. Authorized agents may submit requests on your behalf with proof of signed authorization; we may also require you to verify your identity directly with us.

Timing. We will respond within the time required by applicable law (generally 45 days, extendable where permitted).

Appeals. If we deny your request, you may appeal by replying to our response with the word "Appeal." If your appeal is denied, residents of certain states may contact their state attorney general.

California "Shine the Light"

California residents may request information about disclosure of personal information to third parties for those parties' direct marketing purposes under Cal. Civ. Code § 1798.83. We do not disclose personal information to third parties for their direct marketing purposes.

Minors

The Site and Service are not directed to minors, and we do not knowingly collect, sell, or share the personal information of anyone under 16.

Changes

We may update this notice from time to time and will post the revised version with an updated date.
